
Tim is a founder and Director of Utilities Strategy Advisory (USA), a subsidiary under the Utilities Advisory Group. Tim specialises in regulatory economics, and his role is to oversee the effective integration between USA’s services and those of Utilities Regulation Advisory (URA). Tim has more than 20 years of experience providing strategic regulatory advice to network businesses (both public and private sector), economic regulators and governments around Australia and overseas.
Prior to establishing URA, Tim was the Director in charge of KPMG’s national water regulation practice, as well as KPMG lead to the Victorian water sector.
Tim is a leader in utility regulatory strategy and policy, and has worked extensively with businesses on developing and effectively implementing regulatory outcomes, through alignment with corporate strategy and business program delivery. Tim has supported integration with regulatory strategy and:
- business separation and integration
- transactions (buy and sell-side)
- operating model reviews
- Government policy design, review and implementation
- corporate strategy and
- business program design and review.
His experience extends to supporting senior Executive teams and Boards to understand their roles and responsibilities under the regulatory framework, including sign-off and Board attestation.
