
Sarah brings over 25 years of experience across government, for-purpose, and for-profit sectors. Her portfolio includes leadership roles in strategy, economic regulation (including Essential Service Commission water pricing submissions), digital transformation, customer experience, finance, compliance, governance, and risk management. Known for her practical, hands-on approach, Sarah excels in driving organizational alignment and transformation in a regulated environment.
With more than 15 years of experience collaborating with company boards, audit committees, and executives, Sarah has been instrumental in developing strategies, ensuring financial sustainability, and establishing robust governance, compliance, and risk management systems. She has a talent for simplifying complex issues and communicating them effectively to diverse audiences.
A committed advocate for the Australian water sector, Sarah has held leadership roles and was recognized as a Victorian state finalist in the Australian Water Association’s Water Professional of the Year. Her contributions include participation in the Department of Environment Energy and Climate Action’s (DEECA) Water Sector Circular Economy and Energy Working Group, the Water Services Association of Australia’s (WSAA) Customer and Industry Leadership Group, and the Chief Financial Officer’s Group.
Sarah’s leadership is rooted in values-based, ethical practices. She is known for her strong networking, communication, and engagement skills. Her extensive training includes the Minister for Water’s Insights Executive Leadership course (2020), Williamson Community Leadership program (2018), and WaterAid’s Global Influential Leadership courses (2015).
Proud to call Shepparton home, Sarah has a good understanding of regional settings. She has chaired the Goulburn Murray Resilience Strategy Taskforce and served as a Committee Member of the Committee For Greater Shepparton, a business advocacy group.
Sarah’s diverse career includes positions at Deloitte, Gundjehmi Aboriginal Corporation, World Vision, Burnet Medical Institute, WaterAid, and most recently, Goulburn Valley Water. She is currently a Board Member of the Victorian Environmental Protection Authority.
